Signal app mms download failed
I dont experience the same issue where I have to retry but I have to manually download each image, even if I have it set to automatically download MMS. Is this the same issue or another? I am having this issue with 4.
Android 7. GitHub Issue Cleanup: See for more information. Skip to content. Star New issue. Jump to bottom. Labels mms. Copy link. Try to click on the message to download the contents. Tap to retry when an error is shown. Expected result: MMS message is successfully downloaded. Seems to retry on a hour basis.
This can not be the case with me as the issue is intermittent I actually got one of these errors again yesterday There was some SNAFU about MMS when initially when I got my phone with tmobile where they had me enter a url to download mms messages from, and then the MMS flowed before signal Upon reading the "how to submit a bug" docs, I attempted to download the mms again to make it fail so i could submit a debug log but it succeeded this time It's a pain but at least I get to see the pictures.
Good luck. Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: comment. Doesn't work for me. Tried again, no result. What fixes mine was my Mobile Data was turned off in my phone settings. I have the same problem as well TextSecure 2.
There was a follow up just text that simply did not show up. My phone did receive the messages because I checked another texting app Textra after TextSecured failed. Note that Textra was not running at the time though I only opened it afterwards, and autostart is turned off via App Ops. I have the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S4, running Cyanogenmod I don't use mms messages alot so unfortunately I can't tell when this has occured me before.
Maybe an year ago. Yesterday I suddenly got one mms from my Mom. I tried to open it with Signal but as I tapped it suddenly a sign of connection interuption appeared on top of the 4G network icon. Because of the sudden connection interruption that happens every time I try to open the mms message, signal won't get a change to connect with the mms server and gives the same red warning sign beside the mms message as has already been mentioned on many post's before this.
I just can't figure out why this is happening only when I'm trying to open an mms message. I tried updating the ROM and even got my self a new sim card. Non of this seemed to be helpfull in any way. TriPold The system is returning the error "http failure. I've tripple checked them to ensure they match with the APN settings provided by my operator. TriPold Don't know what to tell you.
The logs are pretty clear, we try to retrieve the MMS using our own code, and when that fails we try to have the system do it instead:. Thank you very much for the info. I'll be in touch with my operator. Booted up with MMS working in Signal. Has same issues when I was with Boost with an entirely different Android phone too. Love this app but I am about to delete it entirely.
But you seem like a brain dead socialist and entitled young punk asshole so I will excuse your fucked up attitude. Next time you want to act all tough toward an old Marine that no longer gives a fuck do it in person. Do you live in the USA? I certainly hope not. If you are talking about me mentioning my college degrees it was only to display the fact that I am not some 16 year old asshole that has no idea what he is talking about you fucktard.
What's the matter, did I make you feel inadequate? I guess it is a little bit "socialist" in that way. No one here owes you anything, so coming in here screaming about how "Signal developers need to fix their shit! Bringing politics into it, personal attacks, and suggesting violence are even more so. I'm pretty sure this whole issue is dead, but when reporting issues, please use the Debug Logs feature to provide specifics about your situation.
This MAN is 53 and still spry enough to handle the likes of you punk. I bet you voted for Biden Skip to content. Star New issue. Jump to bottom. Labels mms. Copy link.
Looks like we're having trouble establishing an MMS connection: - 01 - 28 17 : 14 : MmsException : java. MMS failure after Verizon phone switch MMS fails to send or download same as Same problem with Signal 4. Same issue with new phone I got yesterday.
Started happening to me sometime after the 19th Feb Same problem on Android S7. Carrier: vErizon. Signal version 4. It never worked for me, on many Android versions, including 9.
Duplicate of ? Not necessarily. I saw the fix in that thread by changing Advanced MMS settings in Signal, but I don't have that option in my settings. That's not the same behavior as in Over there appears an exception. Here the download seems to start or to be initiated and then nothing more is logged about it.
That seems strange. I'm seeing this with Android 6. Not sure if this points to a bug in Signal or Android 6. They seem to fail to download only when Signal is the default messaging app? I wonder if it's this Android 6. Still no solution?
